Well we have made it home safe and sound after being gone for 9 days. The cats were happy to see us and our garden is full of peppers, green beans and weeds!! We stayed in Manteo for the first 2 nights and watched the fireworks from the docks in Manteo on the 4th they put on a great show. On the morning of the 4th we went to the aquarium we hadn't been there for years we enjoyed it! We ate at Sam & Omies and Big Al's we got in our rental a little early on Sat but while we were waiting we road down to Bodie Lighthouse. I love that lighthouse it is so beautiful up close. We stayed in the Cahoon cottages right behind the store. It was very nice, simple, clean, and oceanfront. We didn't do a whole lot but relax, and eat. I went down to Rodanthe Monday and did something see the show off post. We went out to RV's Sugarcreek Thursday and it was great! Even though it rained and was over cast alot it didn't matter we just enjoyed being there. I did happen to catch a beautiful sunrise. When we left this morning the sky's were clear and sunny but the ocean was getting rough from Bertha. I didn't take alot of pictures but here are a few!

Gotta love that view!!! We went to the aquarium back in the spring. Loved it and hadn't been in quite a while!

The first thing I did when I got there was wash that window so the view was crystal clear! I love the way the windows get covered in salt! I would carry a pitcher of water out every couple of days and throw it on the window to get it off!
