PLEASE READ THESE RULES!

This forum is designed as a place to get out very valuable information to the public in the event of a major storm on the Outer Banks. We want to encourage tolerance, civility, compassion, and empathy when reading and posting in this forum. Those of us who live here may have just experienced a major life changing event, and those of you who are away from here may own property in the area or have loved ones here and desperately want information on them. We want to use this forum for the orderly dissemination of TRUE and ACCURATE information (NO RUMORS!) and help those who need help the most first. While we understand that rentors want to know about their vacation property and general conditions, priority WILL be given to those who OWN property or to those who are seeking info on relatives/friends/employees who live on the Outer Banks. We hope that you will understand that this is and can be a very stressful time for both those who live here who are coping with potential disaster and for those who are away and have little information on those people and things they love. PLEASE be respectful!
